YANGON, April 9 (Xinhua) -- Two people including a monk were killed with 11 others injured as a passenger bus crashed into another heavily-loaded truck on a highway in Myanmar's central part in the early hours Monday, the Fire Service Department said.

With 28 people on board, the passenger bus heading from Nay Pyi Taw to Yangon, crashed into the rear part of the Fuso 12-wheeled wood-loaded truck on Yangon-Mandalay highway near Phyu due to loss of brake control.

The injured, including four women, were brought to the nearby Phyu Hospital for treatment.

The police is investigating into the case under the traffic law.
