LONDON, June 13 (Xinhua) -- The MPs of the British parliament on Wednesday vetoed a House of Lord amendment to the crucial EU Withdrawal Bill, committing the country to leaving European Economic Area (EEA) membership.

The amendment was reversed by 327 to 126, marking a defeat against attempts to keep Britain in the EEA after Brexit.
