U.S. stocks decline ahead of holiday season

NEW YORK, Dec. 22 (Xinhua) -- U.S. stocks ended lower Friday as trade is expected to be lighter than usual going into the Christmas holiday.

The Dow fell 0.11 percent, and the S&P 500 decreased 0.05 percent, while the Nasdaq inched down 0.08 percent.
