ISLAMABAD, Jan. 29 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan on Monday strongly condemned the terrorist attack at an army camp in Afghan capital of Kabul, which Afghan officials said 11 Afghan National Army soldiers were killed and 16 other security personnel injured.

Afghan Defense Ministry spokesman Dawlat Waziri told the media in Kabul that four suicide bombers were killed and one was arrested.

Pakistan strongly condemns the terrorist attack in Kabul today. "We convey our sincere condolences at the loss of precious human lives in this attack," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

It said the government and the people of Pakistan conveyed solidarity and support to the government and people of Afghanistan over the attack.

"Pakistan reiterates its strong condemnation of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, especially the series of heinous attacks within the last week in Afghanistan," the statement further said.

The Foreign Ministry referred to a religious decree issued this month unanimously by more than 1,800 Pakistani scholars of all schools of thought stipulating that no cause or ends justify acts of terrorism and condemning suicide bombings.

"We emphasize the need for concerted efforts and effective cooperation among all states to eradicate the scourge of terrorism," the statement said.

On Saturday, a deadliest Taliban-claimed attack on security personnel in Kabul killed 103 people, while more than 230 were wounded, according to Afghan officials.
