Canadian stock market edged down little

TORONTO, Feb. 22 (Xinhua) -- Canada's main stock index closed almost unchanged Thursday.

The Toronto Stock Exchange's benchmark Standard & Poor's/TSX Composite Index edged down 15.84 points, or 0.1 percent, to close the day at 15,508.17.

The Canadian dollar fell 0.78.68 U.S. dollar.

Advancing oil prices and a rising energy sector weren't enough to keep Canada's main stock index out of the red, as U.S. stocks mostly closed higher amid a pullback in bond yields.
