HOHHOT, China, March 18 (Xinhua) -- Frank Acheampong scored a hat-trick in the Tianjin Derby to lift Tianjin Teda over Tianjin Quanjian 3-2 in the third round of the Chinese Super League (CSL) on Sunday.

The 24-year-old Ghanaian striker first broke the deadlock in the 16th minute, then found the net twice more in the last 10 minutes to seal the first victory for Teda in the 2018 season.

Quanjian, who beat Jeonbuk Hyundai 4-2 in the group stage of the AFC Champions League on Wednesday, could have claimed their second victory of the week after goals from former AC Milan forward Pato and French striker Anthony Modeste in the second half. But their work was canceled out by Acheampong's feat.

Wu Lei scored four goals to help Shanghai SIPG stage an incredible come-from-behind victory 5-2 over Guangzhou R&F at Yuexiushan Stadium. And SIPG went up to the top of the standings with goal difference.

Giovanni Moreno scored the lone goal for the visiting Shanghai Shenhua against Guizhou Hengfeng, helping Shenhua grab the first victory of the season while giving the hosts a three-game losing streak.

Elsewhere on Sunday, Changchun Yatai tied Beijing Renhe 1-1, and the defending champions Guangzhou Evergrande beat Henan Jianye 1-0.
