LONDON, May 10 (Xinhua) -- British stocks rose on Thursday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index up 38.45 points, or 0.50 percent, to close at 7,700.97 points.
Next, the British clothing and home products retailer, soared 6.14 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. ITV and Royal Bank of Scotland Group rose by 6.05 percent and 3.77 percent, respectively.
BT Group was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 7.36 percent. Randgold Resources, a major multinational metal company, dropped 6.98 percent. Mediclinic International, an international private hospital group, dropped 1.76 percent. Enditem
