SHENZHEN, June 3 (Xinhua) -- Chinese pair Fan Zhengdong and Lin Gaoyuan took another title for China on Sunday after beating the European duo Ovidiu Ionescu/Alvaro Robles.

After defeating world champions Ma Long and Xu Xin, Romania's Ovidiu Ionescu and Spain's Alvaro Robles hoped to continue their magic adventure in China.

But Fan and Lin ended their dream quickly in men's doubles final of ITTF World Tour table tennis tournament in 3 games: 11-9, 11-4, 11-4.

"It's my first time playing in China. It's always a pleasure to play in front of so many spectators, hopefully I could come back next year with better form," said Ionescu.

When asked about their partnership, the romanian said:"We met each other in Germany, and we communicate in English. Our coaches didn't expect that we could make to the final, so tonight we asked a Denmark's player to sit in the coach area."

Lin was born in Bao'an district of Shenzhen, where is the host of this year's China Open. It's his second medal in hometown, after winning the first ever mixed doubles title on Saturday.

"I was so lucky in my hometown, my supporters here give me encouragement."

"I want to say 'thank you' to my parents, my mother got up early these days to prepare soup for me, because Guangdong soup takes a long time to make," said Lin.
