WINDHOEK, July 2 (Xinhua) -- A Namibian football team based in the northern part of the country known as the Lions will for the first time participate in Neymar's signature football tournament to be held in Brazil on July 21.

The tournament is the Brazilian star's signature five-a-side tournament which brings players aged 16 to 25 from around the globe together to celebrate their shared passion for football.

Team captain Pieter Hailombe said this will be the first time for the team to fly out of Namibia.

"We worked hard for this and it is a dream come true. Representing our country doing what we love is the best thing ever. We look forward to the experience," said Hailombe.

In 2017, over 100,000 players from 53 countries took part in Neymar's Five tournament, and this year 64 countries will have an opportunity to play with the star. Enditem
