Death toll of Chinese in capsized Thai boats rises to 16

PHUKET, Thailand, July 6 (Xinhua) -- The death toll of Chinese tourists in two boats that capsized off Thai island Phuket has risen to 16, according to the latest report by the Chinese Embassy in Thailand.

There are still 33 Chinese passengers missing and a total of 78 Chinese passengers had been rescued, the embassy said.
