JAKARTA, July 25 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia's young badminton players won four medals at the ASEAN School Games (ASG), beating the country's target of two gold medals, the team manager said on Wednesday.

Indonesian Nur Yahya Adi Felani beat Malaysian Jacky Kok Jing Hong 21-12, 20-22, 21-19 in the men's singles final on Wednesday in the Bukit Kiara sport stadium in Kuala Lumpur.

"I was too confident, still I tried to be calm and learn the opponent's weaknesses," said Yahya.

In the women's singles final, Aisah Galuh Maheswari defeated Malaysian Letshanaa Karuphaevan 13-21, 21-12, 23-21 for the title. "The game took a lot of energy. Since the beginning we played long rallies," she said.

The ASEAN School Games, started on July 20, staging 10 sports, is an annual event for secondary school student athletes in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.
