Direct flight links Zunyi and Phnom Penh

GUIYANG, Oct. 10 (Xinhua) -- A direct flight was launched Tuesday between the city of Zunyi in southwest China's Guizhou Province and Phnom Penh, capital of Cambodia.

The inaugural flight from Phnom Penh arrived at Zunyi Xinzhou Airport Tuesday at noon.

The airport said the air route is operated by Sky Angkor Airlines of Cambodia, using an Airbus A320 or A321 aircraft.

Three round trips are scheduled every week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. On Tuesdays and Sundays, the flight is scheduled to depart from Phnom Penh International Airport at 7:50 a.m. and arrive in Zunyi at 12:00 noon, local time. The return flight departs from Zunyi at 1:00 p.m. on the same day and arrives in Phnom Penh at 3:30 p.m.

On Thursdays, the flight departs from Phnom Penh at 9:30 a.m. and arrives in Zunyi at 1:40 p.m. The return flight on the same day departs from Zunyi at 2:40 p.m. and arrives in Phnom Penh at 5:10 p.m.

So far, Zunyi Xinzhou Airport has launched a total of 44 air routes. It is planning to resume air routes to Singapore and Thailand and launch direct flights to Langkawi in Malaysia and Siem Reap in Cambodia.

Zunyi is a historic city with a variety of natural and cultural sites.
