Portuguese gov't condemns terrorist attack in Egypt

LISBON, Nov. 4 (Xinhua) -- The Portuguese government condemned the terrorist attack that left at least seven people dead in Egypt, the foreign ministry said in a statement on Sunday.

The Portuguese government conveyed their sincere condolences to the families of the victims and hoped for a speedy recovery of the injured in the attack, the statement said.

Portugal expressed its deep solidarity with Egypt and the Egyptian people at this difficult time and reiterated their commitment to the eradication of terrorism in all its forms, it concluded.

On Friday, a bus carrying a number of Copts was attacked near the Monastery of St. Samuel the Confessor in Upper Egypt's province of Minya, leaving at least seven dead.
