TUNIS, March 16 (Xinhua) -- Tunisia strongly condemns terror attack targeting two mosques in the New Zealand city of Christchurch, the Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement Friday night.

"Tunisia expresses its condolences to the families of the victims and wish a full and prompt recovery to those who were injured," it said.

This heinous crime proves that terrorism has no color, no religion, no moral or geographical boundaries, it added.

Tunisian Foreign Minister Khemaies Jhinaoui called on the international community to continue the consolidation and coordination to combat all forms of extremism, terrorism and intolerance.

At least 49 people were killed and 48 others injured in the terror attacks on two mosques in Christchurch in New Zealand on Friday.
