JAKARTA, April 1 (Xinhua) -- The Indonesian national police have arrested an alleged terrorist who is a member of IS-linked cell in the country and preparing to launch terrorist attacks along with fellow militants, police said on Monday.

The man with initial WP alias Sahid was captured in his hideout in Bojongmalaka village of Bandung district of West Java province, national police spokesman Brigadier General Dedi Prasetyo said.

Sahid was a member of an outlawed Jemaah Anshorut Daulah (JAD), which is an allegiance of the IS terrorist group in Syria, he said.

The alleged militant admitted that he was collecting fund to finance a terrorist plot which will take place in Jombang of East Java province, said Prasetyo.

"The man still has link with the member of the cell arrested in Sibolga of North Sumatra province," he said at the police headquarters.

The anti-terror squad has arrested 10 alleged militants in Sibolga town and Lampung province in recent months, which were known as the Lampung cell and the Sibolga cell.

For now, the spokesman said that the anti-terror squad has been hunting six other alleged terrorists linked with the Sibolga cell.

The arrest brings the total number of alleged terrorists linked with the two cells to 11.
