BANGKOK, April 22 (Xinhua) -- The Thai government said in a statement on Monday that it joins the international community in condemning the hideous act of violence after a series of blasts hit Sri Lanka on Sunday.
Thailand extends its deepest sympathy and condolences to the bereaved families of the victims and wishes the injured a prompt recovery, the statement said.
It added that Thailand stands in solidarity with the government of Sri Lanka and the people in this difficult and tragic time.
"We remain firmly committed to cooperate closely with Sri Lanka and the international community to fight against despicable act of violence in all its forms and manifestation," said the statement.
