Falcao, James lead Colombia Copa America squad

BOGOTA, May 15 (Xinhua) -- Monaco striker Radamel Falcao and Bayern Munich midfielder James Rodriguez were Wednesday named in Colombia's preliminary 40-man squad for the Copa America in Brazil.

Juventus winger Juan Cuadrado, Everton center-back Yerry Mina and Tottenham Hotspur defender Davinson Sanchez were also included by head coach Carlos Queiroz.

Edwin Cardona was recalled to the squad for the first time since October while there was also a place for 23-year-old Boca Juniors midfielder Jorman Campuzano.

Queiroz will reduce the squad to 23 players by the end of May.

Colombia's first group match will be against Argentina in Salvador on June 15 and the Cafeteros will then meet Paraguay and Qatar in the tournament's first stage.

Goalkeepers: David Ospina, Alvaro Montero, Camilo Vargas, Aldair Quintana, Diego Novoa, Eder Chaux.

Defenders: Felipe Aguilar, Jeison Murillo, Davinson Sanchez, Yerry Mina, Cristian Zapata, John Janer Lucumi, Santiago Arias, Helibelton Palacios, Luis Manuel Orejuela, Cristian Borja, Deiver Machado, William Tesillo, Frank Fabra.

Midfielders: Gustavo Cuellar, Jorman Campuzano, Raul Loaiza, Victor Cantillo, Wilmar Barrios, Jefferson Lerma, Edwin Cardona, Juan Guillermo Cuadrado, Mateus Uribe, James Rodriguez.

Forwards: Yairo Moreno, Luis Diaz, Andres Felipe Ibarguen, Roger Martinez, Radamel Falcao, Duvan Zapata, Carlos Bacca, Rafael Santos Borre, Sebastian Villa, Yimmi Chara and Luis Muriel.
