BELGRADE, June 19 (Xinhua) -- Olympic champion Serbia beat world champion Croatia 11-10 (2-3, 2-2, 4-1, 3-4) in a dramatic match in Belgrade on Wednesday in the second round of the FINA Water Polo World League Super Finals.

Croatia led the first half but Serbia managed to catch up and overtake the opponents.

In the first match today, Japan marked their first victory against Canada 17-7 (6-2, 2-2, 8-2, 1-1).

Hungary, which lost to Canada on Tuesday, drew with Spain 11-11 (2-3, 3-3, 3-3, 3-2).

Kazakhstan suffered their second defeat at the competition, losing to Australia 14-5 (3-2, 4-1, 3-0, 4-2).

Eight of world's best national teams compete for the FINA Water Polo World League Super Finals trophy running here from June 18 to 23.

Participants are the best teams from the Intercontinental Cup and Europe, while the winners will get the early ticket for the upcoming 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
