BEIJING, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) -- A children's play inspired by the ancient Chinese story "Three Moves by Mencius' Mother" was staged in Beijing Tuesday as part of the ninth China Children's Theatre Festival.

The play unfurls slowly and tells a story about the ancient Chinese philosopher Mencius, whose mother moves their home three times in order to provide Mencius with a better environment to grow up in.

The play narrates the story from the perspective of a child and involves innovative parent-children interactions.

Featuring dance, acrobatics and singing, the play is intended to show the charm of Chinese traditional culture. It also reflects some problems in family education nowadays, causing resonance among audiences, according to the director of the play.
